Who is the course for?
Basic Rigging Training is for personnel who have had little or no training and/or experience in rigging and lifting operations and wish to gain an industry-recognized introductory certificate in rigging and lifting operation prior to understanding further supervised workplace training.

What does this course cover?
The aim and objectives of the Basic Rigging Training Program are to provide the learner with knowledge of the rigging principles, general hazards and risks of rigging and lifting operations, an awareness of relevant initial training programs allows the learner to demonstrate Basic Rigging practical skills, following instruction and demonstration by the training staff. This Training Program aims to prepare the learners for the next stage of the progression path to becoming a competent rigger. This course covers the requirements of SAQA: 14706
How can Learners Achieve This course?
To complete the Basic Rigging Training the learner will need to attend the 1 day training course physically.
How is the course assessed?
Learners will be assessed against the outcomes specified in accordance with the required standard.
