This course is for all personnel who may need to use self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) as part of their job. It is especially relevant for those working in oxygen-deficient environments, confined spaces, serving as fire watch or standby personnel, or involved in emergency firefighting response activities.

What does this course cover?
The aim of this course is to train individuals in the safe and proper use of self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) when working in environments that require respiratory protection. It covers key topics such as relevant laws and regulations, basic breathing principles, identification of hazardous gases and vapours, as well as the correct procedures for checking, donning, and doffing the equipment. This course covers requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910, L34, NFPA 1981, NFPA 1500
How can Learners Achieve This course?
To complete the SCBA training, the learner will need to attend the 1 day training course physically.
How is the course assessed?
Learners will be assessed against the outcomes specified in accordance with the required standard.
